Improve Your Skills as a Cessna
210 Pilot
If you regularly
fly a Cessna 210, T210 or P210, you can become a safer
and more confident pilot by taking the Cessna Pilot
Association Flight Proficiency Course for Cessna 210s.
This three-day course includes classroom instruction as
well as one-on-one coaching from an experienced flight
instructor during an actual flight.
The basic curriculum
includes aircraft documentation, performance, IFR
procedures, current safety issues, ATC and airspace, and
flight planning. A typical course includes approximately
10 hours of classroom time and three to six hours of
flight instruction. “We also offer virtually unlimited
hangar flying with other 210 owners and instructors,”
says CPA Executive Director John Frank.
All CPA flight
instructors are high-time Cessna pilots as well as
experienced CFIs with an average flight time of nearly
10,000 hours. Held at CPA headquarters in Santa Maria,
Calif., the Flight Proficiency Course is offered four
times in 2007: May 18-20, June 22-24, August 17-19, and
September 14-16.
Participating pilots
can expect to leave the program with a Flight Review
through the FAA's Wings Program, enhanced IFR skills,
and a greater understanding of their aircraft and their
own capabilities. Tuition for the three day course is
$1095 for CPA members and $1195 for non-members.
Pilots unable to attend
a 210 Flight Proficiency Course may want to contract
with one of the CPA instructors who are based throughout
California and the Southwest, and are available on an
individual basis.
