Day 1 - Classroom

Introduction, Overview, and Objectives of
program: Introduce staff, go over classroom rules and
protocol, and verify that everyone has supplied copy of
licenses, medical certificates, and proof of insurance
listing CPA as a named insured. There will be no flying
if the paperwork is not in order. Classroom sessions
will begin at 8:00 A.M., followed by flight operations.
Each instructor will be assigned two pilots. The
nonflying pilot is strongly encouraged to ride along as
an observer and an extra set of eyes for traffic watch.

Preflight inspection: CPA staff will be
available for a thorough preflight of the aircraft prior
to beginning flight operations. Maintenance facilities
will also be available.

POH/AFM Review: Use worksheet sent out
prior to class to review systems and procedures.

Accident Review: An overview of the
current trends in 210 accidents and incidents.

Preflight Briefing: Pilots and
instructors meet to brief the flying for the day.
Discuss procedures as specified in the syllabus; be sure
everyone understands completion standards; stress safety
awareness at all times.
Day 1 - Flight
VFR air work,
emergency procedures, pattern ops, and IFR assessment.
Day 2 - Classroom

events. Identify and discuss any
problem areas.

Airspace: A
comprehensive review of the current airspace structure in
the U.S. The discussion will include equipment and pilot
requirements for operating safely and legally in the
National Airspace System.

Closing
comments/topics of interest.
Day 3 - Flight
Additional work as necessary in areas
identified in Day 1 and Day 2 operations. |
