The Cessna
Pilots Association's Flight Proficiency Program is
designed for the Cessna 210/T210/P210 pilot who wants
thorough, professional model-specific training in their
aircraft. The basic curriculum includes aircraft
documentation, performance, IFR procedures, current safety
issues, ATC and airspace, and flight planning, and
complements the comprehensive technical information
offered in the CPA Systems and Procedures course. Pilots
attending the CPA Flight Proficiency Program can expect
approximately 10 hours of classroom time, 4 to 6 hours of
flight instruction, and virtually unlimited hangar flying.
We also tend to eat well and generally have a good time.
All CPA flight instructors are high-time Cessna pilots as
well as experienced CFIs. The ranks include 3 NAAFI Master
Flight Instructors, an FAA Gold Seal Instructor, 3
Aviation Safety Counselors, and an average flight time of
nearly 10,000 hours. The CPA instructors are based
throughout California and the Southwest, and are available
on an individual basis for the pilot who cannot attend a
class or who wants a more flexible schedule. Participating
pilots will benefit from this experience and can expect to
leave the program with a Flight Review through the FAA's
Wings Program, enhanced IFR skills, and a greater
understanding of their aircrafts and their own
capabilities.
At the present time CPA is offering the Flight Proficiency
Program only for the 210 and only in Santa Maria. All CPA
instructors, however, are available for teaching in a
variety of Cessna models. Call CPA for information or to
contact an instructor.
